Meet the Foundation Board of Trustees

 

 

Glen Gallas

Glen is President/Partner of Supreme Great Lakes. Glen is an accomplished sales and marketing professional with over 34 years of experience in the foodservice industry. In 1978, he began his career in restaurant operations, emerging 9 years later as a direct rep for Kellogg's/LeGout Foodservice. While at Kellog's/LeGout he earned promotions to region manager and sales training manager, wrapping up his 9 year tenure with their organization as the national account manager.

In 1996 Glen joined Concept Food Brokers where he excelled into the Vice President position and then to President and co-owner. In 2012, Glen partnered with longtime friends and Market Leaders to create Supreme Great Lakes. This new regional footprint takes SGL into 19 markets from MN to FL. As President, Glen is known for maintaining customer relationships with personal contact, he monitors day to day operations and is a respected leader within the industry. He is on the Board of Directors and a past president of the Chicago Foodservice Marketing Club.

Glen enjoys family life in Mundelein, IL with his wife of 25 years, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

 

Rob Monroe is the EVP - Client Management of Key Impact Sales & Systems, Inc. a leading independent foodservice sales and marketing agency with nationwide operations; comprised of over 800 trained professionals. Prior to entering foodservice, Rob spent three years in software development with IBM. In 1986, Rob began his career in foodservice, working for Prestige Food Brokers, a Metro NY-based food brokerage founded by his father Jim Monroe. In 1991, Rob became the President of Prestige and subsequently acquired Sierra Sales, a successful packaging & supply sales agency, and GMD Sales, a successful Metro NY school foodservice sales agency. Prestige Food Brokers joined Key Impact Sales & Systems, Inc. in November 2008, as the foodservice industry began its transformation. Rob's areas of expertise include project management, analytics and communications.

Having grown up in foodservice, Rob is dedicated to the industry's collective success, serving as the President of FSMA and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Metro NY Foodservice Association.

Rob graduated in 1983 from Rutgers University with degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science.

 

 

Herb Ring leads the foodservice sales effort as Director, National Foodservice Sales for The Hershey Company. Since joining the company in January of 2004, he has been responsible for expanding sales to all segments of the foodservice industry. 

Prior to joining The Hershey Company, Herb spent over 15 years with The JM Smucker Company, most recently as the National Sales Manager for the foodservice group. 

A third generation foodservice professional, Herb started his career with Sweetheart/Lily Cup. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Science degree from Hillsdale College. Herb is married to Ann-Marie and they have two children, Tristen and Madelyn.

 

 

Andy Wilson is a division vice president at Advantage Waypoint. Andy also served many years on the FSMA Board of Directors, including the Chairman's role. He has staunchly promoted the idea of the FSMA Foundation and is proud to serve on its inaugural Board of Trustees.

  

Rick Abraham is President & CEO of the Foodservice Sales & Marketing Association. Abraham started his association career with the Association of Sales & Marketing Companies (ASMC) in November 1994 as executive director of the International Foodservice Brokers Association (IFBA), a division of ASMC.

Prior to FSMA, Abraham was Vice President, Industry Affairs for GMA, where he oversaw trade issues management within GMA, including management of the GMA Sales Committee, Industry Development Team, and Customer Advisory Group. He also managed all foodservice programs and services for GMA. Abraham has an extensive industry background, including sales and sales management positions with Kraft Foodservice, Mobil Plastics Packaging Company and Procter & Gamble. He is considered an expert on CPG industry issues, with particular emphasis on manufacturer and sales agency issues in the foodservice sectors. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
