FSMA Foundation Attracts the Best & Brightest to Foodservice Careers

The FSMA Foundation was created in 2014 to celebrate FSMA's 20th Anniversary.

The mission of the Foundation is to support programs and services that attract the best and the brightest talent to the Sales Agency community. For example, the Foundation funds conference scholarships for students in hospitality programs. Several, like the Michigan State students shown below, have gone on to foodservice careers after graduation.

The Foundation will also fund education and research studies that enhance the economic climate of the foodservice sales agency community and their trading partners. Past studies include national research on topics like The Value of Outsourcing.

The FSMA Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable organization (Tax ID #46-3699875) whose primary mission is to create programs and services that raise awareness of career opportunities within sales agency companies by: 

  • Conducting research and education to validate outsourced sales & marketing as the best choice for manufacturer client companies

  • Attracting prospective employees by offering scholarships and internships to encourage employment  in foodservice sales agency careers

  • Partnering with educational institutions and other stakeholders to increase the pool of potential employees to foodservice agency companies
